Mi ritrovai a Brighton e vidi nuovamente i colori…

When you begin blogging, you have many ideas up in your mind.

You want to talk about thousands of subjects  in a different way. You always are  looking for a different point of view.

For being more comfortable I want to start talking about something that has been very important in my life.

Have you ever felt home in a place that was not your real own place? When you are not able to remember how it was before staying there and before the plane took off?

This autumn , I have experienced it  during my stay in a lovely English town: Brighton.

At the bus stop you can have a lovely chat with old ladies about weather conditions. You can go to the thai Supermarket and talk friendly with the turkish shopping assistent, but above all the chance to walk on the sea-side each day of the year. This is the reason why I want to talk about one of the most interesting aspect of Brighton.

The Brighton Pier( how is called the place next to the sea) is one of the most surreal and dynamic place in the town. It is where you want to be when you feel melancholy and confused. It seems like you are child again and you want to eat cotton candy and all kind of sweets. You want to have a ride on the merry-go-round or take a picture with the funny images on the wall as a  famouse lifeguard. You are charmed by the fortune-teller caravan who read your hand or your tea cup, but you realize that this appointement with the future cuold be postponed.

With the sun Brighton changes. The beaches are crowded with people, finally happy for the good weather. they start doing barbecue. They cheer dancing ethcnic songs and they tell funny story, a little bit drunk, but happy. You forget to be in the rainy Great britain; you forget clouds and the smell of the rain becomes and old memory. You have nice wind in your hair and the sea gull are funnier. this is the atmosphere that you find there with good laugh and guitar players on  the seaside.

By the way you can choise to live the seaside, alone. Stopping your thoughts and your crazy real life.

You can also choose to buy a sandwich from the closer Tesco with a cold beer and stay with your friends passing the best moments of your life ‘cause there is something  would you like better than good friends, sea and sun?

For all these reason, I’m il love with Brighton. The safe idea of being in the right place. The idea to feel like home.

I really don’t know what happened there. I don’t know how a place could change all my life. I just know that when I went back home I missed my life there and I just wanted to puck all my stuff and go back to Brighton ‘cause I looked everything around me with different eyes.
